75 years later, May 8th

Updated: May 10, 2020

75 years ago, May 8th 1945. The Nazi's Germany surrender. It's the end of World War II in Europe.

In France, this day is a Holiday. Every year big celebrations are organized in the memory of the people who died for the freedom of Europe.

Today's celebrations.

Millions of Americans fought in Europe. Maybe your great-grand-parents were among them. The American army and the Allies helped a lot of europeans countries - like France - who where occupied by the Nazi's.

If we organize celebrations for the victims and the participants of this war, it's because we are grateful.

We want to thank them, to honor them and to tell them the world remember.

It's important to remember such events in our History. People need to know what happened to prevent it to happen again.

So today, we remember.
